Bring In Take Out – Living Archive (LA)

Bring In Take Out – Living Archive (LA) is a project/event consisting of exhibition, library, social space, laboratory, archive in which oral and other feminist histories are inscribed and displayed. It is an interactive platform, a playground in which everyone can co-create on the spot by adding content in textual, audio and visual formats or use it as a knowledge source where copying/recording is enabled. LA is an open process, an intersection between contemporary art exhibition and new media factory in which live video/photo documentation, interviews, discussions, performances, and artists’ talks happen. Although LA functions independently, we decided to connect it to the specific international events such as: feminist conference in Zagreb (13 -16, 2011, organized by The Centre for Women’s Studies), feminist and queer festival in Ljubljana (March 2012, RED DAWNS) and curatorial school in Sarajevo (September 2012, Sarajevo) in order to provide different contexts/atmosphere for each edition of the LA and at the same time add value to these important events.

The Bring In Take Out – Living Archive (LA) has been initiated by an international and cross-disciplinary group of feminist cultural producers, curators and theoreticians under the name RED MIN(E)D who gathered around the CRVENA association for art and culture. The mission of the RED MIN(E)D group is to activate and transfer feminist art, activism and knowledge in/from the post-Yugoslav region. The main endeavor of the LA group is to take and use artistic, creative and research means and their intersectional strategies to create an exhibition laboratory and public archive for emancipating social and cultural memory on women artists, activists and scholars. We tend to open up, popularize and translate (post)Yugoslav feminist knowledge and practice by public and sharing models of the work.

The RED MIN(E)D are:

Danijela Dugandžić Živanović (CRVENA, Sarajevo), Dunja Kukovec (CRVENA, Ljubljana/ Sarajevo), Katja Kobolt PhD. (MINA, Ljubljana/Munich) and Jelena Petrović PhD. (MINA,  Belgrade/Ljubljana)
